Conferences:

Conferences for professionals: in partnership with the ESSEC Alumni associations Private Equity Club and Entrepreneurs Club, the Chair organizes conferences open to professionals. They constitute a forum of open debate and an opportunity for informal exchanges between the Chair and Alumni communities.

Conference Capital Development

• On March 30, 2010 the Chair organized a conference dedicated to Development Capital.

More than 80 entrepreneurs and investors attended. Our panelists discussed the key issues entrepreneurs involved in finding the best partner to boost the growth of high potential companies.

The event was profited from the testimonials of Françoise Noël-Marquis (Partner, Grant Thornton), Jean Gore (Executive Director, Pechel), Thomas Galloro (Board Director, IDF Capital), Laurent de Crasto (Founder and CEO, WIT France), and Harilaos Loukos (Founder and CEO, Climpact).
 

• "Relation Etat-Private Equity : témoignages autour du Fonds Stratégique d'Investissement". On January 21, 2010 the Chair organized a conference on the FSI, the strategic investment fund launched by the French government. Thomas Devedjian (Director at the FSI), Patrick Daher (CEO of Daher), and Olivier Thévenet (Director at AGF Private Equity) shared their experience with Private Equity professionals and entrepreneurs.

Conferences for students: conferences addressing a student audience are organized during the spring term. They are open to all ESSEC students.

Conference EME

• Last March 5, 2010 the Chair organized a session on “Fundamentals and Perspectives of Private Equity” for the 50 Executive MBA participants at the CNIT.

Gonzague de Blignières, CEO of Barclays Private Equity France and Co-Head of Private Equity Europe, Françoise Noël-Marquis, Partner at Grant Thornton, and Vincent Ponsonnaille, Partner at Linklaters, presented their activities and gave their insights on the challenges the industry is facing.
 


• On last May 26, 2009, Michel Guillet and Patrice Hoppenot presented their large experience at BC Partners and their new carrier helping African entrepreneurs at I&P Management, in the seminar intitled "De l'Europe a Madagascar : deux entrepreneurs changent de cap". Discover videos below.
